RIU is a Bali-based project committed to reviving unused materials and preserving local craftsmanship.

Founded in 2021, it began as a passion project to rework deadstock garments and production waste left behind in a family-owned studio. What started as a response to excess evolved into a practice of thoughtful making—rescuing forgotten pieces and transforming them into something lasting.

RIU collaborates with local artisans to keep Balinese handwork—beading, embroidery, and textile traditions—alive. Each collection is created in small quantities, guided by what already exists and shaped by the hands that bring it to life.
